NYC Marathon: Memorial Sloan-Kettering Fred's Team

Hi everyone!  Since I've decided to run the NYC marathon in November and everyone is being so extremely generous toward my fundraising effort, I thought I would start this blog to keep you all up to date on my training.

Below is a link to my fundraising page for Sloan-Kettering.  I have decided to run in support of Sloan-Kettering with a goal of raising $5000.  As you can see on the page, both my Mom and Aunt were patients at Sloan-Kettering during their battles with cancer, so it really means a lot to me to be raising funds to support cancer research.

Memorial Sloan-Kettering Fred's Team : My Fundraising Page!

A few people have seen the fundraising page and have asked me "Who's Fred?"  Fred Lebow was a co-founder of the NYC marathon and was also a patient at Sloan-Kettering himself.

My plan is to post updates maybe weekly of how training is going and anything else that comes up as I get ready for November.  I am just starting my 4th week of the training program and have a long way to go, but so far, it's going really well.  It helps that a few other friends are training for 1/2 marathons and 10k's at the same time so we have a lot to chat about related to running!

More to come soon!
